A pack of cigarettes passed $10 about 3-4 years ago in NYC with the last tax hike. They are saying average price at 11, which means the major brands will be 12-13/pack now. Also gives them more reason to go after internet tobacco sales, unfortunately. If they are losing $6/pack in taxes, anyone who buys cartons online had best be on the level.
