For a local brand in the south, some of the Community Coffee blends are decent and Luzianne makes a good medium roast.

If you're in the French Quarter though you have to go to Cafe du Monde and have some of their French Market Coffee.

Never cared for MH or Folgers.
I like the old A&P Eight O'Clock whole bean coffee for a commercial roast but my favorite in a can coffee is without a doubt Hills Bros coffee. I currently buy Cafe Don Pablo whole bean coffee in a two pound bag at Costco Warehouse.
