I'll wash out the stinky every now & then (HEY-O!!!!!); but I'm not OCD like MD.
 The stinky usually has: ashes, butts, napkins, empty beer cans, & beer caps. Yet, I know to be on good behaviour at MD's herfs. Only ashes in the Stinky. Totally gonna throw some hot wings in there though.

I use a single cigar ashtray most of the time. Each time I light up I dump the old butt and ashes into my big big stinky and wipe out the single ashtray to use currently. Once the stinky is full, it gets dumped and they both get a bath.
When I was a ciggarette smoker I'd dump and wipe the ashtray out after every other cig or so. My buddies were all bartenders and it just became habit.
