Think I'll have to go this route as well (ETC), as my edgestar on the warmest setting seems to settle at 58-60.

Any recommendation to a decent ETC sub $100?

I was just looking into the same thing and stumbled upon this looks like it should work

The Ebay one looks like it is made in China. I would recommend this one:
