Pulling Carson was about the only 'give up' move that they made yesterday. There are no third stringers in the NFL and backups play as much or more than starters this late in the season for any team. Believe me, the game plan drawn up on Wednesday was not 'Lets not really give a sh!t and maybe we'll have a chance, because when we give them the game we can play these guys twice in 6 days time.'

The difference between pulling the starters for the playoffs for the Colts, Chargers and Saints is far different because they have been far more dominant and cemented their 'Bye'. The Bengals haven't proved anything of late and appear to be limping into the playoffs, figuratively and literally.
