			I use nothing but distilled water, but I have still had beads develop mold on a couple occassions. It was likely my fault from oversaturating them and leaving them in a tipperware dish with excess water.

			I've had beads go bad.  Had them in some regular panty hose, checked on them the next day and they had changed into fishnets, with stilleto heels

			I have some heartfelt Industries beads in a tube.  I have had them about two years and they work great.
