I used to be a big no smoking in the car person but no longer feel that way. After being through many many nice cars kept immaculate and still taking a bath on resale I look at cars as being a sort of disposable item not as an investment. So now I smoke in my cars and with the right remedies you can cut down on the smell. Only car I won't smoke in is my wifes truck. But just out of respect for her. I am the opposite of you where I won't smoke in my house as I don't want the stale smell lingering in the house.
Sounds like you have three options. A- no smoking in the winter B-freeze your @ss of while smoking or C- suck it up and smoke in your car. FYI,If you crack the rear drivers window with all your other windows closed and crank the heat to the floor most of the smoke will billow right out of the window. I have been smoking in my current vehicle at least twice a week for over a year and no burns and most can't tell I smoke in it.
