Recommend me a Patel

Hey guys, I've been in the mood to try new stuff lately and I'm clueless about Rocky Patel. I know he has a ton of different lines and my neighborhood B&M seems to carry most of them. I smoked an Edge years ago that was decent, but my tastes have changed quite bit since then.

I like smooth but full flavored natural wrapper cigars. Salty, leathery, not a lot of sweetness. Cuban Bolivar and Partagas are my go-to smokes but I also like full flavored Dominicans like LFD and Opus X. Super spicy, nose-burning Nicaraguans are my pet peeve. If it burns my face off, it's not a premium cigar in my opinion.

so, that being said, what should I try? Price isn't an issue since I only plan to buy 2 or 3. Like I said, my local shop seems to have a big selection of RPs but if you recommend something super rare or discontinued I probably won't take the time to search it down.

RP Sumatra if you can find them...great smoke. But the Renaisance is also a tasty stick.

I first got introduced through his Vintage '92 and Vintage '90 lines. Both are still very good to me.

there was only ever one RP cigar that was any good. the edge sumatra. and no, the renaissance is not the same cigar.
