I think you would be much better off looking around here in the WTS area. Most of the stuff I have seen in those cigar of the month deals are either brands or sizes I don't care for.
Another great way is to get involved in the Newbie Sampler Trade (shameless plug). http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=14254 It is a great way to try some different sticks, get some trader feedback, and just have fun in general. |

Always remember, these guys are out to turn a profit. They might send you a good stick or two, but you'll get scraps too. They are going to make some money one way or another. They are not doing it as a friendly gesture like you get with members of a forum or such.

Most COM clubs are centered around House blends. If that's what you are seeking to sample then fine, but if you are looking for more name brand stuff then cigarbid, cigarmonster or joecigar fivers are a better value. Also, after a few fivers you will have a nice selection to trade and PIF here.

I'm with most here and when I was a newer smoker I even considered it. I think the novelty of just getting an unknown package(cigars) in the mail every month attracted me. Than I figured that they probably unload the crap that's not selling off on the club members. I could be wrong as I am a pessimist by nature anyway, but I figured if I was budgeting X amount of dollars a month on a club I would much rather take that same budget and head down to the local and pick out what I wanted to try rather than hope I didn't get a load of dog rockets sent to me every month.
