As an AT&T employee with an iPhone, a Google G1, a Blackberry 8900 and a Samsung Jack, I can tell you that the one phone my company doesn't carry (Google G1) is my favorite by far.
The droid intrigues me, but there are a lot of Android phones coming out. Might be worth holding out a little. Edit: in response to MCS, the newest update (1.6) fixes a lot of issues. Also, I don't know how much your son knows about homebrew, but have him try out CyanogenMod.

Very true. From what I'm reading however, the first "Droid" will be the only one for a while that has a physical keyboard, and thats one feature i'm not willing to give up...

![]() I like that it's an open software source and when someone makes an application you don't always have to pay for it in the market. As soon as Android came out i jumped from windows quickly. It just wasn't for me.
