Well the glass will make a difference for sure - but so will shooting at the full 14mp. The pixel size does not mean it's a better picture - it has to do more with the size of the print. So less can be better - and you can adjust that. If you are not going to be printing and blowing up the shots - 72 dpi will work fine and give the appearance of sharper images when viewed on the computer screen. Not sure what the aperture is on the A620 - but larger pixel size and higher files need more light. So your lighting with those 3.5 and 4 may not have been enough for your shots. So much more goes into this type of camera than a point and shoot.
In addition you may want to pick up a few books to help you make adjustments and get the most out of that camera. I can suggest a few non-boring ones if you would like. Ron |
