Whether to leave the cello on or off is purely a matter of personal choice, but it has nothing to do with aging. Very little aging occurs in the short time frame you reference. Two years is resting, 10yrs or more is aging.

Exactly as stated. Some will cut the ends off the cello but at the end of the day leaving them on isn't going to hurt. If they come with cello I leave em on.
