Look for a few of the glens to start. You should be able to find Glenfiddich 12 for under 40. Its a good jumping off point. It has nice flavor but won't overwhelm an unfamiliar pallet. |

Glenlivet 18yr. is the best I have had.
Glen Moray 12yr. for $19.99 is very good. For a blended Grant's is very good. Nice and smooth. It is produced by the makers of Glenfiddich.

Highland Park 12 YO is a great all round pour. Gracefully aged in oak casks it exhibits a nice balance of peaty smokiness and heathery sweetness.

Just finished the last of the "Teachers Blended Scotch" that I had. It's one that I truly love and it's ashamed that it's gone. I don't think it's available in the USA any longer. There is a "Teacher's Cream" which is available and is pretty nice as well, but it's not the same as plain old "Teachers".
