Nice list. That said, no current Padilla cigar is made by DPG, contrary to your list, that Obsidian is made in Nicaragua, but not by Pepin.
Also, and I know I'll see posts arguing the point, but I'd like to know what makes 5 Vegas Miami a DPG MADE cigar. Take a look at the CI catalog, where all other cigars are touted as "made" by _______________, the 5 Vegas Miami is listed as "crafted". Interesting (and careful) choice of words, but last time I went to DPG Miami factory, 5 Vegas were not discussed as manufactured by Pepin nor available for purchase (while all other lines were). When did that change? One more observation. Even though you list some brands as manufactured by DPG, they may have been manufactured by other factories untli very recently, one needs to carefully tread with those and figure out what is being bought (Troya, for example, which was made by Altadis before?). |

Here's a question I have. What happens to cigars like the Padillas that were Pepin creations as far as the blend when Padilla and Pepin part ways. Do they change the blends that make them what they are???
My gut reaction is probably not, whether these sticks are made by Pepin, it would seem that they are still Pepin in spirit no? Or do the blends actually change...I honestly don't know?? |

I see...so Padilla never really knew what the blends were...makes sense. I must say I just had a 1932 and it was pretty damn phenomenal.
