Smoke 'em. You didn't buy them to look at. I will wait a week if the shipment seems to have sat in the sun or took a long time.

I usually don't resist the temptaion to smoke one FOTT, unless past experiences with specific cigars have taught me to do so.

You know, somehow I have the self control to wait a couple of weeks. Not sure why I have self control when the smokes arrive but not even the slightest bit of it when I'm checking out the online retailers.

ive smoked cc's right away, but thats because i heard its best to dry box them before smoking them, so figure a day or 2 in the mailbox is equal to dryboxing...at least thats how i justify my lack of self control! smoke it buddy, theres always more!

Ill usually try one if they don't seem too wet although I would leave it unhumidified for a day before lighting up. I'd leave the rest for at least 2-3 weeks to calm down a bit.

I usualy have just enough self control to wait till I get home from the office before I light one up. I just don't think my boss would like to see smoke coming out of my cubicle.
![]() ![]() ![]() The really bad days are when I have more than one type of smoke come in and then I am sitting there and home trying to figure out which one I am going to have. ![]() |

some vendors tend to ship "wet". I tend to let em rest 30 days or more.

I tend to try one ROTT. Do a pre-light draw test, drybox it if need be, then see how they're doing. The rest go into the freezer and into the humi to stabilize.
