That was smack dab inna middle of my time. I saw Thompson first play freshman ball against the 'Heels in the old Carmichael Auditorium, and thought I was seeing things. And that was before I starting "seeing things" in college! 
Don't know if Norm ever threw his coat, but I do believe he should have burned them.  |
