Yep. Same word, same meaning, same city.

Most non-cubans are from cuban seed and they want to capitalize on the word Havana (english) because everybody knows the mystique of cuban cigars, novice or not.

Cubans have "havana" (spanish) because that is what they are, I guess.

The tobacco is from cuban seed and they are primarily for the English (American) market. The rest of the world doesn't have that many non-cubans to choose from. The rest of the world smokes, primarily, cuban cigars. We are special.

to put it a different way but repeat what everyone else has said...

in italian...roma
in canadian...rome

in spanish...habana
in canadian...havana

you really dont need to stress over it...just accept that other languages spell things different than we do.

I have a lot of non Cuban cigars. A lot of those non Cuban cigars have "Havana" written on the wrapper. I'm not sure why they have the word "Havana" written there. These cigars were not made in Cuba and I don't know of another city called Habana or Havana; other than Havana, Cuba. Why are non Cuban cigars released with the word "Havana" on the wrapper?

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

In Germany more than 50% of the cigars sold are non Cubans, in The Netherlands its close to 50/50. We don't have the huge selection you guys have, but all the main brands are represented on the European market.
