Default Thinking about brewing loose tea.

I tend to drink a lot of iced teas. I used to drink a lot of Arizona ginseng and now I enjoy the Honest aid Green teas.

Are any of you guys brewing anything like this?

I enjoy packaged teas when its cold so I pretty much enjoy it all year round.

Borris I drink loose tea about 8 glasses a day, some hot some iced. I really think its the way to go. I use almost exclusively www.adagio.com their ingenuiTea system for brewing is fantastic, and their teas are exception and affordable. PM me any questions you have about loose tea!

I'm going to check those out. Price doesn't seem bad either. Before I posted this I had the idea of using a coffee maker, but instead making tea. Is that a bad way of doing it?

Is that the general idea when making tea?

Yes, don't use a coffee pot. Until recently I just boiled water in the microwave and used the IngenuiTea pot, now I got the utiliTea Electric Kettle that is fantastic for keeping perfect temp water for whichever tea you are brewing. If you wanna try some samples, I have a BUNCH of teas, PM me your address and I'll send you a little sample kit.

you would need some sort of filter, like the IngenuiTEA, i promse if you get one of the starter packs with the filter, you really should do it.

OK, so those IngenuiTEA's have a place for loose tea? If it does I couldn't figure out where it goes.

Hahah the ingenuiTEA is only for loose tea, it basically is a filter with a drain in the bottom, so you put the tea in, then the hot water, and let it steep, and then drain.

Adam, I know lots of english people that use Electric Tea Pots, and basically the ingenuiTEA is a strainer.

If you're making tea for one, an electric water dispenser (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16896112054) and one of those filters is hard to beat.

I just use a stovetop tea pot and cloth strainer. works just fine for me. I am looking into different strainer methods though cause it cost $5.00 for a box of 100 and I drink alot of tea.
