Default Re: Plastic Pipes

I did have a few bowls in it. It is not too bad. It feels a little on the hot side in the hand, but is OK in the mouth. It also is heavier than a briar pipe. I did not notice any off flavors either.

It certainly is impervious to water. I washed it out in the bathroom sink and it was as good as new. But being impervious to water is also a problem with it. If the tobacco is moist, it is tough to keep it lit to the bottom and you fen end up with the bottom of the bowl filled with soggy tobacco. Briar will absorb some of the excess liquid. Though it may be a little different since it does late you build up a little cake to break it in.

There always seems to ge a few of these on ebay (Search The Pipe, The Smoke or Venturi) for about $5. I can see it getting some use, but not sure if it will be in my regular rotation. But could be handy to try out new blends.
