Being the kind of guy I am, I would have reached for the JB weld too.... and while repairing it, wondered why it was made with shoddy welds/solders to begin with, and not purchase another. Pretty, useful, and not the first time I have heard of stirrups falling off one.
Disclaimer...
I do not own one, or have any interest in the company.

To be honest, I went through the same thought process. I have even thought about fabricating my own custom ashtray, which I still have not given up on. But, in general, I do like the Stinky. It's failure also inspired a quest to find other "cool" cigar ashtrays - mostly antiques, and that has been a fun search as well.

Have others had this kind of failure? I thought it was just mine. Sometimes when I have a product that I like that requires more maintenance than it should, it inspires improvements, and new projects that can be rewarding and fun. Other times, it just frustrates and causes more trash.....

And I too have no involvement with the company...

From what I've read. They did have some stirrup problems on their earlier models, but since the problems have been remedied. Knock on wood , no problems so far.

Disclaimer: I do not work for Stinky nor have I ever worked for Stinky.
