Well it's a larger 6 cylinder and it is a stick so I would say it has enough power. If not you could always downshift

Yeah Im 99.99% sure Im goin to go thru with it. One of my friends who proclaims to know everything about chevy says its not worth it.

This is also someone who traded a 2000 Chevy 1500 with the 4.8 and a 5 speed, Hurst short throw shifter, short bed, with cat back flowmasters, cold air, throttle body spacer, sounds system for a 1985 K20 with a 350 and utility body and plow. He traded his truck straight up so this truck when the asking price of the 85 was $2800

I have this exact truck except with an auto transmission and 4x4. If you are not planning on halling anything with it it could be ok, but If you plan to hall anything it is a DOG. Gas mileage is ~15 here in OH where it's flat, ~12 when I lived in PA and was driving up and down hills. 96 Is the year they put the new Vortec Heads on that truck so you only have abut 160 HP to work with.

Well it seems like my dad has talked me outta this truck and into lookin at a 03 1500. His reasoning is that whenever I decide to get another truck down the road noone will really want to buy it
