That is what I'm thinking ... Nero 9 can be DLed for a 15 day trial. They limit a couple of things but seems more or less full version.
The Nero 9 trial version can be tested for 15 days starting from the date of installation. AVCHD authoring and playback as well as MPEG-4 and BD-AV formats are not supported in the Nero 9 trial version. But first make sure that Nero 8 is updated. There may be an option to update the software or drives supported.
