4GB of RAM is awesome....

My AMD dual 64 bit came with 4 GB RAM and to upgrade ti to 8 GB is $600... So much for cheap RAM. I hope by summer it comes down a lot.

On 64 bit, it seems like it uses twice the RAM of x86...

Huh? From where? No way it can cost that much unless they are charging like $550.00 to install it. Curious now.

That's insane! How long ago was it and who did you get it from? If it is not too late, I would return it. For that much you can get 48GB of RAM lol.
