That's great that mainstream treatments work for you. My two main triggers are dietary (dairy) and the weather. I can avoid dairy but it's really hard because I get cravings for cheese and ice cream and I occasionally break down. The triptan drugs stopped working for me about 5 years ago. So did all NSAIDs including Toradol except at very early onset dosage. I really dislike opioids/opiates as I very quickly become addicted to them and have done the withdrawal process once before. Unfortunately my pain treatment of choice is illegal in this state and at the federal level. I have to shake my head every time I think of the policies regarding it.

At a prophylactic level of treatment I take feverfew which reduces the severity and frequency, a B-complex supplement, and ashwagnadha capsules daily. These all help but aren't always enough. I'm hoping that the Prozac I'm on now will help on a preventative level as well.
