Sam Leccia Black........came out in 2014. Interesting blend with fire cured tobacco in the filler. Sweet, smokey and very smooth. ****

I remember those. Is Sam still running his own brand, or making cigars now? Since the evil Beer Sellar went non-smoking in 2020* and killed our big Party Source weekly cigar events, I never see brand owners or even cigar reps much to keep up with the industry.

*Beer Sellar announced in late 2023 that smoking was once again allowed, but our crowd has given them two upraised middle fingers each in response.

*Ahem, sorry about that.* To put this thread back on course, I've been smoking a few Olive V sticks lately. Not the V Maduro or Melanie, the original V's. I like them best.

After leaving Oliva as a master blender he started his own brand in 2012 in partnership with Torano which was bought by General Cigar shortly after. As far as I can tell General and Leccia parted ways by 2016 and can't find much more on his cigars after that. He also made the Luchador which featured a San Andres wrapper that was pretty good.

Smoked a Surrogates Bone Crusher after dinner. Nice cigar except the darn cap unraveled on me.
