very simple really - he would have ran the plates - a clean driving record speaks VOLUMES.....
Now, if your buddy had a history of speeding or minor traffic violations....another story completely |

I know that if I second guess myself (yes we sometimes think we see something) and if it's not 100% clear I do not make the stop, maybe just pull up behind put a little "fright" in their mind and then just continue on. There are more fish in the sea and bigger fish too. Just my being a LEO.

Do warnings appear on driving records? I've always heard some friends talk about getting like 5 to 10 warnings and never a ticket. By that, I can't imagine they would be recorded because after 5 - 10 "Be careful next time's" you'd think they'd realize something wasn't taking. Maybe I answered my own question ...
