I've been saying for years we've needed a donut thread.
When i was little one of my dad's businesses was a Mr. Donut here where i grew up, back then donuts were 1.99 a dozen and it was even a bakers dozen and those were actual fresh donuts, not like today were they have "factories" that make the donuts then truck them to the local shops in the morning, sadly Dunkin Donuts does this. |

The thing I laugh about is my dad would always stop by the shop to taste the coffee, he was a stickler for the coffee always being fresh, he also used to burn the **** out of his mouth tasting the coffee, so he started grabbing a glass of ice and pouring the coffee over it, people thought he was a fuvking nut, but he explained that way he could taste the coffee and not burn his mouth, he started doing this 45+ years ago ... now today not only does everyone drink ice coffee they drink it frozen as well.
