I hit the KMA Club at age 44... you had to be 50 to collect your pension in Illinois at that time, so when I hit my 50th, I joined the GFY Club.

I was 17 when I joined the USAF so I was actually eligible for my pension at 37. I hung around for another five years, though, and retired two days after my 42nd birthday.
