Game of Thrones Season 4 thread

Good season so far. Read all the books so I know where it is headed but still interested in how they put it on screen. Wonder if it will be 7 years before the next book?

I read they are actually a little concerned about the film production coming to a stop due to Martin's writing speed (or lack of). Book 5 is already published, so they're good for next year. And he's been working on book 6 for years now, and speculation is that it should be released in the foreseeable future. I think it's safe to say they'll have material for season 6 in two more years. But I don't see any chance at all of the final(?) book 7 being completed and published the year after that.

They may have to stretch things out and try to get a couple seasons of filming out of one book starting next year.

I've had book 5 sitting on my book shelf for a year now, and still haven't read it. I decided I might as well reread the entire series before starting it. By the time I'm done, book 6 may be out. If I don't read too fast.
