I used to use turkey bacon. Then I found pork center-cut bacon that had less fat than any turkey bacon. So hooray for center-cut!

I hardly ever buy jalapenos. For salsas and such, always use serranos if you want them hot instead. They are hotter and more consistent.

10,000–23,000 - Serranos
3,500–8,000 - Jalapenos

Agreed. For salsa, I stick with serranos and chiles with more heat. For ABTs, I like to use Hot Jalapenos if I can find them.
