Doesn't make much sense to me either. Both Met players, based on their current stats, should have gotten the starting nod.

The media is saying that Posey (NL starting catcher) wouldn't be able to catch Dickey, so they are waiting to bring in Ruiz (defensively better) and Dickey in the 5th or 6th...total BS move from LaRussa. He is not on my "banned list".

1- Larussa has no business managing as he is retired and has nothing to gain/lose by being there.

2- I personally don't care that our guys aren't starting. I think they both deserve to start, but whatever.

3- I think its pretty crazy the Giants have 4 starters now - and not one of them deserves to start. The fans stuffed the ballot for Melky, Posey and Panda. Current rumor is that the Giants told Tony they didn't want Posey catching Dickey, which earns Cain the starting spot.

If the Giants end up in the WS and the national league loses the all star game, the fans have nobody to blame but themselves.
