I bought a bottle about 4 years ago. Had no idea how much I paid, but enjoyed the bottle a lot. I only buy or get good stuff so assumed it cost more.

Have your tried any of the Indian or Japanese made "Scotch" brands? I think you'll like them quite a lot.

No, but I will now. Ty. I know some US companies out West are using smaller casks to age which gives more surface area of wood per unit of alcohol. This gives a smoother, more aged taste in a lot less time, which means less money. I'm going to give one of those a try this week.
