It's fine if Boveda packets touch your cigars. Having said that all humidification devices work via airflow, so if your cigars are packed in around your device (beads, sponge, or Boveda packet) the humidification device will be less effective.

I really like that... I'd do something like that and fill it with beads, though... maybe I will do that, actually... wouldn't need the bead bags that way.

That would be cool too. I haven't used beads yet, but I might start. I've read they keep it at a pretty steady 65rH. These humidifiers fluctuate pretty often, mine go from 60-68 all the time.

I can't really rotate the boxes around since they only fit in a specific Tetris-inspired orientation, but I open them all up and check to make sure there's no mold. I rotate the cigars in my singles drawers so they all get equal exposure to air instead of having some remain constantly buried. |
