Moonshine
Tried moonshine today for the first time. had about a 1/6th of a shot. really felt the alcohol. It burned like hell, but was surprising a lot sweeter than I expected.

Re: Moonshine
I got some Apple Shine from Mac but haven't tried it yet. Think I'm gonna save it for a golf/cigar outing with the guys.

Re: Moonshine
And yet, not really moonshine
I find the real deal (corn mash) to be some tasty stuff. Although moonshine doesn't really exist in the U.S. It's like Cuban cigars, so I don't know what I'm talking about.

Re: Moonshine
I have Shine every time I have a cold. Don't drink it much more than that. My father in law has been getting shine his whole life. It's not really my "cup of tea"

Finishing off a jar as we speak!
Its not the typical clear deal. Its been aged in whiskey barrels. Gives it a woodier taste and its pretty good potent stuff.

Re: Moonshine
I used to make "moonshine". I really did, no joke. It wasnt called that though. I worked at an ethanol plant and we made 200 proof alcohol.
It always smelled pretty good but i never did try any........... They make some cherry moonshine that I have thought of trying many times........ |

People make them from different ferment-able ingredients, at different ABV's, aged or not aged, barrel-aged, etc. etc. Just saying that there is a lot of variation in "moonshine".
