Chris, while it is a personal preference, any stick that comes with a cedar sleeve...I take off immediately before it goes in my vino. There have been stories of AF Anejos with mold under the cedar...I just choose to stay clear of it.

My Anejos were somewhat moldy when I got them. That was last May. Thankfully it came off quickly, with my thumbnail, and has not recurred; nor have adjacent cigars in the humidor become infected.
Most importantly, they are fantastic! Last edited by alfredo_buscatti; 10-27-2011 at 07:45 AM. |

I had a box of lonsdales that had cedar sleeves once, Out of the 10 6 or so had mold hiding under the sleeves. Taking them off is a norm for me now.
