Still not buying Star Wars until they release the original version, and I know it will probably not happen, but I refuse to give Lucas my $ until he pleases the true fans.

An altered version on blu ray is better than an unaltered one on DVD

The original, unaltered, theatrical versions ARE on DVD.
They come on the most recent 2 DVD versions and are packaged with the altered versions. No extra special effects, Han shoots first, the whole nine yards!
