I thought to read this and see what is going on. I could speak about a number of things. But, I only want to right quickly and off the cuff. So, here goes...
I would be offended if a Jew were to wish me - Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas. Why? They mean nothing to him. I would expect him to wish me the best of what he believes, and greet me with Happy Chanukah. In the same way, when I expect Christians to wish me a Merry Christmas, it is not a way of pushing religion on them - it is wishing them the very best of what Christians believe to be true. In the same way, I'd never expect a non-Christian to wish me a Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah, but Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings. Anyway, just some of my thoughts.
