As far as the seal, if you look at the partitions they sit slightly lower than the outer walls o the box. This allows for the inner cover to sit in there and the outer lid to hold that down sealing it as best possible.
The only important thing to look for in any cigar is if YOU like it. That's the whole point, after all.
