I'm headed back to reading about quantum mechanics and m-theory. The book has pictures and diagrams, so I must be a moron for reading that tripe.
Only if your text book has pictures of the Green Lantern in it

It isn't a textbook, it is a novel and while it mentions superman and has a drawing of a car that could be Speed Racer, it doesn't have The Green Lantern. Sorry to disappoint.

As long as this didn't take place within the Star Wars universe, it doesn't bother me!

BTW: I am dyslexic and struggled through elementary school. Marvel and DC comics helped me discover the enjoyment of reading. I am the only person in my family to graduate from college. I now work in higher education.

Don't worry, I have become a cigar snob too since joining CA.

As for the movie industry, I'd say they know their target audience pretty well (it just isn't me anymore).
I was an English Lit major in school and we studied graphic novels in some of my courses.

As far as the Superman issue goes, it's not as big an issue as everyone's making it out to be. He renounced his citizenship to stop Iran from declaring war on the US. I'm willing to bet Clark Kent didn't renounce his citizenship.
I know that we all grew up with Superman fighting for truth, justice, and the AMERICAN WAY, but he's a global icon and those of us morons who still read comics and graphic novels know that he saves the world (and the universe on occasion) many times over, not just the US.
