BEST ADVICE for trim:
Buy or rent a brad gun and an air compressor. If you have an air compressor, you are ahead of the game. I'll never use a hammer again for trim work. Even the inexpensive brad guns will do trim great. They even countersink the brad heads for easy touch-up finishing. Just make sure the gun will shoot a variety of brad lengths, up to at least 1 1/2 inches. 18 gauge brads are pretty much the standard. Good luck.
