Which one, PS3 or XBox 360

PS3 has an HDMI and Optical Out

my cheapie home theater amp doesn't have HDMI either, so I run HDMI to the TV and Optical to the receiver. It's not ideal, but it works fine

I prefer the XBox 360, which I have. But that is because I like the true variety of games available to you. I am not very good with all the technical stuff, but as far as the games, and playability, I like the 360.
