Droid Considerations

I am liking the Droid 2 more and more the more I read about it. A friend of mine in telecommunications told me that the Droid 2 would probably be the better choice because of all the phones he's worked with HTC has given more fits, mostly with electrical things, not OS stuff. I like the idea of the external keyboard.

Does anyone know if the applications run differently on the two?
