Interesting read, but IMO too much of a copy cat mentality tailoring around the wine industry. Although I have preferred viajes smokes lately.

It is kind of, isn't it? Torano just did that Single Region thing, Tatuaje has their version...I wonder who will be next.

I hate hearing comparisons to the wine business as well. I've noticed this trend with craft beer brewers, packaging their beer in fancy wine bottles and such. To me it just sounds like an excuse to charge more money for their "premium vintages".



also, 25 cigars? and he only has time to smoke his own? Maybe Andre Farkas is just a business man and not necessarily a cigar nut like the rest of us.

anyhow, great read. I should mention that I do enjoy Viaje cigars, not trying to be a hater

I also thought that was pretty interesting. How can you do blend testing only, and not compare them with what other folks in the industry are producing. So smoking a Tatuaje or Illusione won't improve your palate and production?
