What are you using for humidification? If your not using beads and just the green foam you should be using propolyn glycol (sp?) to keep down mold growth. Honestly since I started using 65% beads 8 or so years ago, I have never had an issue with mold.

I use 65% beads

That was my thought. Plume is usually white... mold will look fuzzy, if its not fuzzy, its probably plume.

While some cigars may develop plume after many years of careful aging, usually humidors do not develop plume on their own.
