Dude, if you haven't, STRAP yourself in. I'm not the vertigo type but I got a little whoozy in a few scenes where the shot looks down on Gotham City. Now only if it were on IMAX in 3-D!!!

I'll bring some motion sickness tablets just in case.

I saw an IMAX documentary abut ten years ago about Mt. Everest and there was a scene at the beginning of a mountain climber free repelling right near the ocean. He had just cleared an overhanging ledge and had nothing several hundred feet of air until the ground. The scene was shot looking down on him from his rope and with the camera fixed to his POV as he twirled around the rope on the descent (everything was spinning on screen). It was great!

getting it on BR.

i saw it at the local imax when it was first released. it was awesome there. the acoustics in the theater are just impecible and the dynamic capability of the sound is just crazy. the whole opening sequence of the bank robbery is filmed in imax format and several other important scenes plus some of the scenes over looking gotham and hong kong. christopher nolan is a freaken genius. i saw the movie again with my family while on vacation and we went to a normal theater, it just wasn't the same. i can't wait to fire up my system and watch it at home.

if it's anything like the iron man release every shop will get a unique packaging.
