After I graduated in '98, I moved to Indy where the rates were more than double that.

I've thought about one day (when my student loans are paid off making me 100% debt free) buying a 1/4 or 1/5 share of a cherokee 140 or cessna 152. You can get a lot more hours for the money that way.
