I had some on Sunday at the restaurant in the building I moved into a few weeks ago. Pho Mein is the name of the chain. Pho, meh is the unfortunate result. It just didn't have the flavor I was looking for.
Now if you want some good Pho use the recipe I've included in this post. I don't recall exactly why this is a image file, must be a screen shot from whatever website it was originally found it on. Okay, you can't really read it when it first expands the thumbnail, but if you click on it again it will bring it up large enough to read. It's tasty, well worth figuring that bit out lol. I love myself some pho! Portland has been seeing a resurgance of trendy pho restaraunts starting up. They recently opened up a Pho Tango about a mile from my workplace and their pho is pretty good. Though the best I've ever had was from an old coworker back in California, she did the broth from scratch. It was remarkable going into the kitchen and smelling the heady scent of the broth being made. Mmmmmm. Now I want pho for lunch!
