No gym today, but planning on a stop tomorrow morning before I head out of town.

Tuesday I watched a guy doing dead hangs while using wrist straps. Huh? Kinda defeats the purpose.

Depends. I don't use the straps, but my doing dead hangs gives me two benefits:

Grip strength
Upper body (shoulders, lats) stretch

If I was simply wanting to use them for the stretch and not the grip strength, then straps wouldn't be a bad idea.

Headed in for legs, have a good trip, Bob. Train hard today, Huy.

Heavy leg days. It was fun... legs trained first and the rest of the week is easy...till 3 days later and it’s leg again.

Fronts 5x3, 3x1
KB step up 4x8
Lying leg curls 4x10 (negatives)

Yes, to an extent. But Tom already said it.

Simple. Never use wrist straps. Your grip is giving out, move onto something else.

Re: Pumping Iron with Adriftpanda and Icehog3 II

I do use wrist straps when I do heavy barbell rows late in a workout, or heavy barbell shrugs. My grip sometimes gives out in those circumstances before my muscles do.

Was off yesterday, today is ICT. :ze

I think it's time I see a doc. Think I slipped a disc in my very lower back. Feels like it.

Nice work and good to "see" you, Greg!

Bob, that sounds awful. I hope that it's a relatively easy fix.

Groin strap got me through hockey like a champ. I'm going to wear it to the gym today for row day.
