down to 312.9 - a total weight loss of 24.1 lbs since i started April 27th about 3 months ago. They say the slower you lose it, the easier it is to keep it off :) Think i might change my weigh in day to saturday

I have my weigh in tomorrow, but it's so hot here, all I want is ice cream!
I'm not sure if I want to eat it or just rub it on my nipples.
Either way I'm staying strong and not going to the store to get some.
If the scale is mean to me in the morning, I may just have a breakdown!

Another 1200 calorie day in the bag :tu

Doing really well so far. Made some Grilled shrimp diablo and vegetable orzo for dinner. Had some really great buffalo chicken lettuce wraps for lunch. Down 7lbs so far :xxx

No Ice cream last night, on my nipples or otherwise! :D
Got on the scale 259.2
The first time I've been below 260 in probably 8 yrs!
My Next goal is 250 by Labor day.
Someone asked me recently "how low do you want to get?"
Being realistic at the end I'm shooting for 230.
If and when I get there, I'll re evaluate my final weight and decide if I can go further.
I set my final (for now) long term goal at 230 by 1/1/12

Good job Tyr, Dom and Myles.

Today's my recovery day from Power 90. At least I think it is, I need to keep better track. Either way I'm taking the day off from the program. I may go running later though. See if I can't do more than 2 miles this time.

216.8, down 2 lbs this week. I transitioned from Atkins to WW with a big splurge on a pitch in that included dirt pudding, brownies, and some great baby back ribs I made.

Total lost is 12.4 in 4 weeks.

Re: Losing Weight with Starscream

I'm clean up to 198, a result of being backed up something awful. That should plummet as the week goes on. I'm mounted an all-out assault on my guts. I should be in the low 190's by next weekend.
At this point, I can't even eat, period. That's ridiculous.

I should also note that these shorts are getting quite loose and hard to keep up without a belt now. They'll probably slide off when I hit 210 again-which is something I can't even remember being since I've yo-yo'd so much the past 5+ years in the 220-240 range.

Congrats on the loose shorts :noon:noon:noon (God I hope that didn't sound as bad as I think it sounds, lol)

Keep it up bro, you'll be at your target in no time.

Once I drop another 30 lbs or so I should be able to fit in clothes from 15 years ago that I have kept. Basically, a whole new wardrobe of neat shirts and pants!

Re: Losing Weight with Starscream

Good for you! My goal is 250 by next April for my annual physical. According to BMI charts I would still be considered "obese." A 6'2" guy at 160 is considered normal weight. Are u kidding me? He would be a beanpole! My doc said he'd be happy if I were 270. So, if I make 250 he'll probably be very pleased- as would I. It's not easy, but if it were there would be no fat people. And, it sure is nice to see that scale show lower and lower readings!

Chainsaw13 07-26-2011 08:18 AM

Re: Losing Weight with Starscream

6'2", 160? That's just plain stupid. BMI's need to go away.

I think I was back down around 195 this morning. I've finally straightened out bathroom-wise. My appetite is almost non-existant, and that helps.
Seems I'm finally back in the groove. :tu

I've been eating under my WW points since I started on Thursday. For the next 4 weeks, I'm down to just 1 class, so I'm hoping to get in some cardio every day. Unfortunately, I stepped on a hot piece of charcoal that I didn't see and I'm still trying to heal from that huge blister.

You guys can do it. :tu I was very fat once but I am down to 6'1 196lbs. It was hard to do but I am glad I did it. Now if I could just keep away from the sweets I could get fit. Ice cream is my weakness. :td But anyways keep at it and you will reach your goals. :tu Keep us updated.

Had a bit of a rebound with the kids' b'day party followed by 2 days off, but I'm starting back down. I've gotten into the habit of doing an hour workout on my days off.
So what does everyone do for workouts? I started off with Wii Fit Plus, thinking it would be a good low impact workout. Now that I've dropped some weight, I think I'd like to up the intensity. I'm not ready for P90X or Insanity, but I'd like to get up more of a sweat than the WFP exercises can provide. Any ideas?

I have a Muay Thai heavy bag in the garage that I'll do a couple of rounds with to really get the heart pumping. I also have a Total Gym that I use to do resistance exercises while watching TV etc. That's about it for me lately.

I"m doing Tony Horton's Power 90 program. It came before P90X. I like it. You definitely work up a sweat on all workouts, 2 different cardio and sculpt. Each one is 45mins or less. Worth checking out.

Re: Losing Weight with Starscream

Made up for missing my workout yesterday. Did the cardio program and the ab ripper 100 (up to about 80 of the 100), then was still feeling energetic and did a 2.3mile run. I signed up for a 5K walk/run in October so I need to start training for that. Should be doable now. I think had I not worked out I could've done the whole 5k today.

Now lets see if this puts me back under 220. Been up a couple lbs this week. Not sure why either. Eating good, exercising. Could be putting on muscle? Who knows. We'll see come Saturday.

Walking is how I lost the bulk of my weight this year. If you can get up to or below a 15min/mile, you'll get a great workout in, plus sweat your a$$ off.
