Perhaps I've missed it mentioned elsewhere, did you do it all on your own or did you have some sort of gastric bypass done? Congrats.

If you're heart is set on a treadmill or elliptical, check out your local craigslist. I"m sure you can find deals on there. Don't know of any brands to recommend though. Good luck with the weight loss.

i am constantly walking around campus and that's one of the ways i lost the weight, but i am also a member to a gym and i have to cut corners so i thought i would get a treadmill or elliptical. okay.. thanks:)

Unofficial weigh-in today was 217.6. The new routine is starting to pay dividends, plus I've still been walking occassionally in addition to the workout. Let's see what Saturday morning brings though. I've had this mid-week dips before.

Starscream is a CA inmate, just like you and I. He started the thread about his weight loss goals. Others like myself have glombed onto it.

I"m doing the Power90 program. It was the predecessor to the P90X program. It's a bit easier to do which is perfect for me since I was primarily a couch potato.

A poached egg, tomato slices and a piece of multi-grain toast. A great way to start the day!

I had Raisin Bran Crunch and worked around the raisins, Tyr. It provides an extra workout. :D

Two days off work and put on 4 lbs. Guess I overdid the "cheating." :r
It's coming back off, but I have the kids b'day party this weekend. I'll try to limit myself to one small slice of cake. The good news is I get to fire up a Kristoff Ligero Maduro from my sons b'day box. :ss

You rang?:)

Sorry I haven't checked in here for a bit, y'all. I overdosed at an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet down here at the beach today. Crab legs, mussels, oysters Rockafeller, shrimp, cheesecake, and whatever else. I ate at 3pm, and I still feel sick 10 hours later.:r

Still holding fast at 240 (although I'm probably gonna be up this week).

Just under 1300 calories today

Brkfst: Poached egg w/ tomato slices and multi-grain toast
1st Snack: Greek Yogurt
Lunch: Butter lettuce salad w/ baked salmon, black beans, onions, tomato, cilantro w/ a lime and olive oil dressing
2nd Snack: Banana and a slice of cheddar cheese
Dinner: Grilled chicken kabobs w/ zucchini, eggplant, onion, and bell peppers
3rd Snack: Almonds

Yeah... I'm trying to eat a lot during the day. Its a good thing I average around 18-19hrs awake per day.

Power 90 combines circuit training with both cardio and weights. So one day you do all cardio, the next weights or resistance bands, with intervals of high intensity routines, moving from one to the next with just a couple of breaks after each set. They focus on all of the major body parts. Their is also the ABRipper routines where you do all different types of ab exercises.

I"m just over two weeks in and can see a marked improvement.

Check it out here.

Re: Losing Weight with Starscream

As I figured would happen, yesterday's weight was a mid-week dip. Back up to 219.6 this morning. The only thing I can think of it's water weight. Not like I ate a lot yesterday, not more than normal. Plus I got my workout and a 3 mile walk in. I actually find I like walking in the heat. Keeps me loose.

I had a big spike too, Bob. No clue, it must have been the moon or something.

195.2 this morning. :tu
The 90's seem awful slow, but I don't think they really are. I'm starting to obsess. I need to just forget about it like I have from word go.

Same here. I was doing good with staying off the scale, but that didnt' last. As long as I'm maintaining or going down come ever Saturday, then I'll be happy. Even slight rises shouldn't worry me as i know I"m building muscle now.

A fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil salad would be off the charts good right now. That should help you squeeze into your Wonder Woman costume. :tu

Made some Asian Turkey Meatballs tonite courtesy of a Men's Health recipe! Extra lean ground turkey, small minced red onion, garlic cloves, minced fresh ginger, lemongrass, jalapeno pepper, small amount of sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Rolled 'em into meatballs and used butter lettuce to turn them into wraps. Less than 280 calories for a serving :tu

Aww yeah! Already down 5 lbs.

Down three this past week. So, I am now below my lowest weight since I kept track in my current ledger starting May 2006. Might make it below 300 by SH after all!

Another pound lost. I've been averaging about 3 qts of water a day. Amazing how that helps with the weight loss.

Back from Vegas and I was SCARED to hit the scale. Somehow I managed to not gain the 5lbs I intended!

Maintained @ 207 this morning which kept me at my total of 34lbs to date.

Now that I think about it...I ate shitty(but kept it to decent portions) walked a **** done and didnt eat as often as needed to. I figured the hundreds of calories consumed from the alcohol(scotch mainly) would have killed me but apparently not.
Interesting indeed.

Hugh, I just told Weeze how good you were doing and she's happy for you, too. Ya know, if you lose another 100 pounds, you're still gonna be one big sumb1tch. You're a big boy, period. You'd make an excellent outside linebacker at 220. :D
